Once again Connected Learning is participating in the one day multi-location, International EdCamp Leadership event. This annual unconference is aimed for K-12 school, teacher and community leaders in public and private settings.
Last year, over 1,800 leaders from the US, Canada, China and Chile participated in the first simultaneous, multi-location EdCamp event. Like last summer, each location with a team and point-person assigned will be supported up through the event. The "shared" expectation is that at least one (1) session during the day (Session and/or Smackdown) should be virtually shared offering real-time virtual collaboration (WITH 1 INT'L PARTNER) by way of social media medium aside from the overall #edcampldr hashtag.
Ideas for Teams: Before registering your ticket(s), encourage your leadership team to schedule a summer "meeting" during EdCamp Leadership. Participate in the conference, use conference space to identify ways to infuse un-conference/EdCamp strategies in your own organization. Build your respective networks from a variety of leaders scattered around the world.
Organizing Teams: First-time and veteran organizing teams have the following supports in place through the July 11th event: Slack, Facebook, Voxer and Blue Jeans. Contact Joe Mazza at mazzajos@gse.upenn.edu with questions.
