The Black Yoga Teachers Alliance invites you to join us and the St. Louis community for an experience of Yoga as a Peace Practice to restore individuals who are impacted by trauma from violence and the dysfunction and chaos left in its aftermath.
August 9, 2019 will mark five years since the death of Michael Brown, a wound that prompted national protest, a wound that uncovered the ugly legacy of racial injustice and inequities, a wound that divided a city and finally a wound that infected its people with fear, anxiety and trauma. We return back to those wounds to begin to heal.
“Healing begins where the wound was made.”
— Alice Walker
