Join us for year 7 of the annual Add+It+Up Conference!

Welcome to "Add+It+Up", a regional math conference for educators and curriculum coordinators! We are excited to bring you an event that will provide you with the latest strategies and curriculum to enhance your teaching skills.

Our keynote speaker is being determined now by our planning team.

In addition to the keynote, we will be featuring breakout sessions led by regional educators and curriculum coordinators. These sessions will provide you with practical strategies and tools to use in your own classroom. You will also have the opportunity to network with other educators and learn about new resources that can help you in your teaching.

Donor Levels

  • Gold level sponsorship: $5000 - Your company logo on all conference materials, a vendor booth at the conference, and the opportunity to lead a breakout session.

  • Silver level sponsorship: $2500 - Your company logo on all conference materials and a vendor booth at the conference.

  • Bronze level sponsorship: $1000 - Your company logo on all conference materials.

All sponsors will also receive recognition on our conference website and in our conference program.


Submit a Breakout Session

Our event will continue to focus on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Mathematics.

REGISTRATION FEES will be waived with the commitment to present at least one break-out session.

Sessions Proposals are due by March 24th, 2025, at 4 pm.

There will be three 75-minute break-out sessions per day.

Please identify whether your session is an introduction to the topic or an advanced session that focuses on classroom implementation.

Topics of interest include:

  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Mathematics

  • Problem Based Learning in Math

  • Authentic Learning

  • Building Thinking Classrooms

  • Developing Number Sense

  • Growth Mindset

  • Embedding Math Practices

  • Building Conceptual Understanding, Procedural Fluency, and Strategic Competence

  • Course specific sessions for high school

Keynote Speakers

Crystal Watson

Crystal Watson is an innovative, passionate educator and leader who always asks “What do the students think?” Her work is centered around providing space for student voice and identity development in order for all to experience high quality, deep, and personal mathematics. Crystal has developed and facilitated webinars, workshops, and other professional development. She obtained a Masters of Education from Teachers College at Columbia University and is currently a doctoral candidate at Miami University, OH. Finally, she is one of the co-authors of Pedagogies of Voice: Street Data and the Path to Student Agency, to be released in summer 2025 by Corwin Press.

Dr. Pam Seda

Dr. Pamela Seda is an educational consultant in Atlanta with over 30 years of educational experience. She is the owner of Seda Educational Consulting, creator of the VANG Game, and co-author of Choosing to See: A Framework for Equity in the Math Classroom. As a regular speaker about math equity at conferences, Dr. Seda is committed to changing how students experience mathematics, especially those from marginalized groups, and advocates for mathematics instruction that develops all students as mathematical thinkers and problem-solvers.

Dr. Kara Imm

Dr. Kara Imm is a K-12 teacher educator, based in Brooklyn, who designs and leads on-site professional development and school-based coaching to school communities throughout New York City, across the U. S. and internationally. When not partnering with schools, districts and state programs, she supports the student teaching experiences of K – 5th grade candidates in East Harlem through her work at Hunter College (City University of New York). For over a decade, she has created original professional development courses for K-12 STEM teachers at Math for America (MfA). In her research and writing, Kara explores multiple areas of interest: the role of design thinking in teachers’ work with marginalized students; how thinking and talk routines develop math communities where all kids can belong and thrive, and the powerful intersection of mathematical modeling, identity development and culturally relevant pedagogy.
