Design Thinking: Developing a Framework for Creativity in the Classroom

  • Cambridge Innovation Center 20 South Sarah Street St. Louis, MO, 63108 United States (map)

Design thinking is a creative problem solving method adopted by designers that uses a human-centered approach to better define problems and solutions. This is done by collecting information from and about those impacted by a problem and designing a solution through various feedback loops.

In this session, attendees will walk through each step of the design thinking process, and utilize a framework to take existing curriculum and connect real design challenges for students to solve using the design thinking approach. Attendees will gain strategies to support students through the process as they approach challenges as designers.
