In an ever-changing world of education, one constant is the mounting stress on teachers, administrators, and staff. From safety concerns to students living with trauma, school staff members are expected to manage others' behaviors and emotions, while providing a rigorous and engaging learning environment. Not to mention, we have lives outside of the school day as well. These increasing demands can leave even the best educators on the verge of burn-out. In this highly experiential workshop, participants will discover how stress impacts the brain and body. Using the tools of mindfulness and self-regulation, we will learn how to connect to our inner calm, resilience, and happiness. We will also create a customized plan with strategies that cultivate emotional well-being as a daily practice, both in and out of the school building.
